I have known Jayna for roughly 7 years. For maybe the first five years she invited me to workout with her and was very encouraging that it would be fun and challenging and that I could definitely do it. I put it off and waited, intimidated by her excitement and energy, and used my excessive weight as an excuse that it would be too hard. Really, I just wasn’t ready. When that did change and I decided to go for it, I found Jayna’s excitement contagious and couldn’t believe I was ever intimidated by her success. I began exercising with someone who offered a challenge, motivation, and an overall good time. Jayna always had a new routine and exercise, sometimes meant for individual work and others it was a circuit with a group. In those moments it became too challenging she would show the modification and would continue cheering me on to complete the goal. Jayna worked with my hours of availability and was always there as a coach and friend, especially during the aches and pains, and sometimes offering funny memes or reassuring thoughts to help get me through it. She inspired a healthy diet and balanced exercise plan that helped in my goals and overall helped me find my inner strength.
It was a huge motivator to have Jayna right there by my side working out. CrossFit and lifting weights has always intimidated me but she made me feel comfortable and confident that I could do hard things. Making sure my form was good, she pushed and encouraged me to keep going even when I thought I could not give it one more rep/more weight/etc. She is an amazing coach who takes pride in your achievements and puts a lot of heart into helping you see results and succeed.
